HRS 2026 update: what Ontario homeowners need to know before the deadline

Ontario Furnace Rebates is tracking the 2026 HRS deadlines closely. The Home Renovation Savings Program remains Ontario’s main furnace and HVAC rebate in 2026, worth up to $7,500 for most homes and up to $12,000 for geothermal. A few timing notes matter right now:

• Confirmed through November 2026 — but the program terms allow it to close earlier at any time.
• Contractor registration closes May 31, 2026 — you need a registered contractor to submit your application.
• No energy audit is required for a heat pump installed on its own.
